Arrow Tool Group® is teaming up with DIY content creator, Serena Appiah, of Thrift Diving, to launch the 30-Day "Fall Overhaul" Challenge — a nationwide movement encouraging homeowners, renters, and DIY enthusiasts to transform one space, room, or project in 30 days.
Challengers will receive weekly emails with DIY advice, tools tips, and motivation to complete their projects. For each task that challengers complete (sharing project updates, submitting final pictures, and more), they'll earn additional entries into the Arrow "Fall Overhaul" Giveaway!
Sign-up for the challenge begins on August 13, 2025. The challenge starts September 1, 2025 and ends on September 30, 2025!

However, you can earn additional entries into the $1,000 Arrow Fall Overhaul Giveaway by signing up for the 30-Day "Fall Overhaul" Makeover Challenge! By entering the challenge and completing the tasks (and a project), you'll earn more changes to win!
What is the 30-Day "Fall Overhaul" Challenge, and do I have to join the challenge?
Arrow Tool Group is teaming up with DIY content creator, Serena Appiah, from Thrift Diving, to host the 30-Day "Fall Overhaul" Challenge! The goal of the challenge is to motivate you and your fellow DIYers to pick one project, room, or space to overhaul starting September 1, 2025 through September 30, 2025.
Not only will you get weekly supportive emails from Serena to help inspire and motivate you during the challenge, but you'll also get to share updates and wins with other Challenge participants! Even more exciting, the more challenge activities you do, the more entries you'll get in the Arrow Fall Overhaul giveaway!
Participating in the challenge is optional and is not required to enter the giveaway. However, if you love the idea of working alongside other Challengers to tackle a project or space you've been meaning to complete, and earn more entries, then this challenge is for you!
What kind of project should I do?
You can do any project that helps you improve or refresh your space! Reupholster a piece of furniture, paint a room, build something, organize a closet, refinish furniture, or do a full room makeover—it's your choice!
Do I need to use Arrow tools?
Nope! But we’d love for you to give them a try. We'll be featuring new and helpful Arrow tools like staple guns, hand tools, office supplies, and more in weekly tips and tutorials.
Is the challenge open to international DIYers?
The giveaway is only open to U.S. residents. If you live internationally, you may still participate in the challenge for inspiration and motivation!
When does the challenge start and end?
Registration for the challenge (and the giveaway!) opens on August 13, 2025. The 30-Day "Fall Overhaul" Challenge kicks off on September 1, 2025 and will end on September 30, 2025.
When and how will winners be announced?
Winners will be selected randomly. The more actions you take (sharing your progress, tagging #ArrowOverhaulChallenge, submitting your final project, etc.), the more entries you’ll earn! Winners will be selected on or about October 15, 2025 and will be posted on Arrow Tool Group's website.

Serena launched Thrift Diving in February 2012 to inspire homeowners to decorate,improve, and maintain their homes on a budget—using paint, power tools, and thrift store finds. Her platform, ThriftDiving.com, spans a blog, YouTube channel, and podcast, all designed to empower everyday people to take on DIY projects with confidence.
Through practical, down-to-earth tutorials, Serena shows how to transform your home yourself—without sacrificing your budget, the environment, or style. After purchasing her 1973 home, Serena began teaching herself how to refinish secondhand furniture and decorate using thrifted pieces. That hands-on experience sparked a deeper love for woodworking, power tools, and full-scale home improvement.
Serena is currently enrolled in the Building Trades Program at Montgomery College in Rockville, Maryland. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a M.S. in Quality Systems Management. For the past three years, she has also volunteered as a Crew Leader for Habitat for Humanity Metro Maryland, Inc., guiding and mentoring volunteers on home construction projects.
She has presented to thousands through live, on-stage DIY demonstrations, appeared on Baltimore-area news stations, and continues to grow a loyal audience through her engaging blog, video content, and social media presence. Serena lives just outside Washington, D.C., with her husband and their three sons.
